Our 35 acre country estate is rich with England’s history. On this ground Eadric the Wild plotted against William the Conqueror in the 11th Century, King Henry VIII fell in love with Jane Seymour, and Queen Elizabeth I was feted with a spectacular four day grand event known as the Elvetham Entertainment. While only parts of the medieval house remain, its ancient spirit has been woven into the modern trappings of a luxury hotel and wedding venue, allowing many more families to add their own piece of history to this amazing location. The main house is approached via our scenic tree lined driveway with stunning views of the Hampshire countryside, following the flow of the river Hart. The Elvetham boasts a wonderful array of ceremony spaces, both indoor and outdoor, elegant wedding breakfast locations and a host of evening entertainment to choose from. With an exceptional Bridal Suite and 91 elegant bedrooms at The Elvetham, there is plenty of space for you and your wedding party, with room for everyone to enjoy the splendour. The floral displays in our Formal Garden Squares sit like elegant centrepieces to the rear of the house, while our gallery of Irish Yew trees create a majestic scene, perfectly framing the spire of St Mary’s Church. Take a stroll to the more secluded areas of our grounds and experience the atmosphere of walking through an enchanted forest. Discover our secluded Azealia garden and surrounding woodland, which sit next to our impressive garden wall with decorative archways. Walk along the banks of the river Hart where our ornate stone bridge contrasts perfectly with the surrounding landscape.
