What's On - May 2023
This May we are excited to bring you some more local events and happenings for our guests to consider. While there is more than enough to keep you busy here at The Elvetham, such as exploring our extensive grounds and walking routes, here are some highlights close by.
May is of course centred around the King’s Coronation Celebrations. We’ve written an article on our own historical links with the Crown here at The Elvetham, which you can find HERE, and we are excited by the Coronation of King Charles III.
Hartley Wintney Parish Council are collaborating with a wide range of local community groups to offer a variety of events in celebration of the Coronation.
The Coronation – Saturday 6th May from 9am to 3pm
The Coronation of His Majesty The King and Her Majesty The Queen Consort will take place at Westminster Abbey, London, and be live streamed from the BBC via a Big Screen located on Central Common, opposite St John’s Church.
The Coronation Concert – Sunday 7th May from 7pm to 10pm
A special Coronation Concert will be staged and broadcast live at Windsor Castle by the BBC and BBC Studios, and the concert will be live streamed from the BBC via a Big Screen located on Central Common, opposite St John’s Church.
For more information on attending these historic public events in the village, see HERE.
If you are staying with us at The Elvetham as a family, here’s a great destination to visit with children under 8. Wellington Country Park is an award-winning family day out, and each season brings a different experience where children’s imagination can run free. There are a whole host of outdoor attractions and here are this month’s exciting events to enjoy:
