WHAT'S ON IN MARCH

Spring has officially sprung, and we’re back with some suggestions of local attractions and happenings for you to consider during your visit with us at The Elvetham this March.

The nearby town of Fleet is home to The Harlington, a multi-purpose arts and entertainment venue. There’s no shortage of entertainment, events, and more on a monthly basis, from live music to comedy, and even Roller Disco this March:

11th March - Creedence Clearwater Review - The UK’s premier tribute to Creedence Clearwater Revival, one of America’s greatest bands who, despite their relatively short career, left an enduring legacy of classic rock. 

17th March - Roller Disco - The Harlington have combined forces with DISCO SKATE to bring the joy of Roller Disco to Fleet! But is Fleet ready? 

18th March - Stand up for Saturday Comedy Club - Expect a fantastic night of live comedy entertainment featuring: James Ellis, Daisy Earl and Ricky Balshaw, with MC Kevin Shepherd

24th March - Genesis Connected - A tribute show celebrating the music of Genesis and the biggest selling acts connected: Peter Gabriel, Phil Collins and Mike & the Mechanics. One for the dads.

25th March - Abba Fever - One of the most successful touring live Abba productions in the UK and Europe! Voulez-vous? Uh huh…

31st March - The Doors Alive - The band recreate the sound, look, presence and magic of a real 1960's Doors concert, perfectly and effortlessly transporting the audience back in time with classic hits.

Keeping the good times on a roll, let’s head down to Hook, another fine local Hampshire town, and explore the state of local brewing. Yes, 25th March welcomes the Hook Beer Festival 2023. The South East has been famous for its hops and cider for generations, so it’s the perfect place to come and sample an array of fantastic locally crafted beers, ales & ciders. There will of course be other drinks available, and let’s not forget the exceptional pizzas on offer. Probably best to get a taxi for this one…

Taking things a little calmer, let’s return to one of our favourites, West Green House. Well known for it’s wonderful opera productions, the gardens are exquisite, and play host to a variety of talks and events, particularly of interest to the green fingered out there….

16th March - Pruning With Confidence -  Simon Hickmott and Dominic Rendell are the experts who keep the trees, climbers, shrubs and roses trim and performing at their best at West Green House. Tap their knowledge to make the most of your own pruning this season.

23rd March - Succeeding With House Plants - Depressed with your efforts at keeping plants alive at home? This is for you! After morning coffee, Michelle will exhibit and talk about plant selection and the growing skills required for success in the greenhouse and home.

28th March - Meadow Inspired Flower Designs For Spring - By introducing the buds and branches of springtime, a naturalistic wild image is introduced into an arrangement, be it a table landscape or a significant vase. Get some ideas, learn some skills, and up your arrangement game.

29th March - Networking in the Garden - One for our business guests! Register, then enjoy a stroll around the garden followed by a glass of wine, guest speaker and networking in the greenhouse. Grow some new local contacts….
